Another week, another meme from Fun, Crafts and Recipes.
#1. When going out to dinner what items do your order? Appetizers, soup, salad, dinner, dessert.
As you all know, I'm the bunny that doesn't eat salads :P
So I usually order dinner and dessert. Sometimes if the dinner portion is big, there's no room for dessert *sad bunny*
#2. How predictable are you when eating out? Do you usually order a meal that you’ve had before or do you like to try new things?
It depends where we're eating. If it's at Sushi Zanmai, I absolutely adore their unagi dishes and that's all I'll ever order :) But if at new places, I might order their specialty or something new that intrigues me. Depends on my mood. The good thing is, what I order is usually nice. Bunny likes :)
#3. When eating at a restaurant, what beverage do you like to order with your meal?
Warm water. Always.
#4. Name a meal that you ate at a restaurant that you liked so much you tried to recreate it, as well as the name of the restaurant and the recipe.
I love, love, LOVE the "Steamed Seabass with Lime and Chilli Sauce" at Just Thai or Good Evening Bangkok.
Here's my recipe:
Scale and clean fish. Rinse with cold water. Pat dry with paper towel. Make diagonal slashes 2 inches apart on both sides of the fish. Place fish on banana leaf.
Mix 3 (slightly pounded - what's the right term for this?) Thai birds eye chillies (cili padi), 3 garlic cloves (pound once), a small chunk of slightly pounded galangal (lengkuas), 2 stalks lemon grass pound once (serai), 3 tablespoons of fish sauce, lime juice (from 1 lime), 1 chicken stock cube diluted in some water. Make the sauce according to your taste. I like it hot and sour :)
Pour mixture over fish. Scatter spring onion and torn kaffir lime leaves over fish.
Place fish with banana leaf in steamer. Bottom part of steamer has about 2 inches of water. Cover lid and steam for 10-15 mins, until the fish is tender.

You have me intrigued! Why warm water? :) The recipe sounds yummy!
yes.. why warm water?
happy FFoF!
You know we are all going to ask....why warm water? ;)
A much as this recipe looks good, I'm just not a fish eater...or a bunny eater...LOVE bunnies, but don't like how they taste. LOL
Oh, and girls, I like my fish soupy. So I make a soup with the same ingredients :) Yummy!
And the answer to that million dollar question is - just cos! LOL
Well, I guess it's cos I'm used to drinking warm water a lot and it's good for your body. Also, I usually love a soupy dish for dinner, so I can't really enjoy any other type of drink. I'd get really bloated! :P
The bunny that doesn't eat salads. How cute.
Next time the portion is big try what I do - take half home and have dessert anyway. You get a yummy snack, but the food that really matters - the sweet stuff.
I was wondering...does bunny eat carrots? Carrots are so yummy and healthy.
corrin - hee hee :P
tina - Oh, how come I've never thought of that? Great idea!! I'll do that next time! Yay!!
charla - cooked carrots, yes :P Not when they're hard.
